Ingredients
Any Left over bread or fresh sandwich bread ( i used my leftover french baguette) 200 gm
Butter 2 tablespoon
Onion 1 finely chopped
Sausage 1 200 gm packet cut into thin strips
Eggs 3
Milk 1&1/2 cup
Fresh cream 1/2 cup
Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon
Italian seasoning 1/2 teaspoon
Sausage 1 packet cut into thin strips
Cheddar cheese 1/4 cup
Mozzarella cheese 1/4 cup
Salt as needed
How to Start
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cut the bread into 1 inch cubes. Set aside in a large mixing bowl. In a pan, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the onions, sausage, chilli powder and saute until softened, for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Whisk in the salt, milk, cream, pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the bread. Add in the onion, sausage mixture, Italian seasoning and 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese and mix well. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5-10 minutes for the bread to soak in the custard.

Carefully transfer everything to a baking dish. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour. The bread pudding is done when the custard is set, and when you find its not runny. Insert a knife and test the texture, if you find it more gooey, bake it for some more time. If the top of the bread pudding gets too dark before the pudding gets set, cover with a piece of foil and continue baking.

Serve the bread pudding warm.
